About This Ain't The Expendables XXX
There's nothing like girl power: THE EXPENDABLES are a team of hot but dangerous chicks, armed to the teeth not just with killer curves but also with deadly firearms. Oh, and they ride motorbikes too. And they don't take any prisoners - like when they have to rescue another female from a group of terrorists. Sometimes men need to be taught a lesson. The team takes on the riskiest missions - but its members also engage in passionate sex. After all, even the most hardened G.I. Jane needs a moment of relaxation between fire-fights.

Yet another sequel to a successful horror movie. Some might call THE EXPENDABLES an action flick, but one look at the line-up of worn-down muscle men will tell you otherwise: Sylvester Stallone (who also directs), Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Randy Couture and Steve Austin have all, for the most part, seen better days. Much better days. That said, Jason Statham looks like a teenager next to his team members. Some might consider this cast a who's who of 80s and 90s action cinema, but I feel that most of these steroid strongmen should have retired a long time ago. But apparently one adventure wasn't enough for them, so here they are again, back on the silver screen with yet another shoot-em-up extravaganza. The porn spoof of THE EXPENDABLES is much more welcome than another sequel to the original. At first I half expected Axel Braun's parody to star a number of has-beens from the porn industry, but luckily this wasn't the case (with the exception of genre vet Tera Patrick who actually does a good job here). Most of the performers are still young and firm, which is the way it should be. However, it is not easy to make a successful parody when the original material isn't very good to begin with. While this is certainly not Axel Braun's best work to date, it's an okay movie. The production values are not exactly eye-catching but the performers do their best to keep viewers entertained with hard-driving sex (not so much with convincing dialogue, though). Well, that's at least worth something, if you ask me.
