About Taxi - A Hardcore Parody
TAXI is yet another cult TV series from the USA that gets the porn spoof treatment. Starring superstar Danny DeVito, the series was a ratings success in the 70s and 80s, grabbing no less than 18 Grammy Awards during its original run. The stories revolve around New York City cabbies and their daily adventures. Naturally, none of these adventures involve as much sex as the XXX-rated version. Porn legend Ron Jeremy pops up in another brilliant non-sex role, showing off his acting skills instead of his myth-making man-spear. Even better, the other performers (both male and female) are as good at acting as they are at fucking. A very welcome change of pace!

Initially I was skeptical about the numerous porn parodies out there. Would the producers of the originals be as amused as the audience? Now I know better, though. Fact is, it's the best way to create renewed interest for a long-forgotten (or totally unknown) TV series! I remember watching TAXI back in the day, but after watching this adult version of the cult series I feel like revisiting the original. Two thumbs up, then, for this brilliant spoof. The sex scenes, by the way, are ace too!
