About The Facts Of Life - A Porn Parody
THE FACTS OF LIFE is a parody of the successful US series that ran from 1979 to 1988, but never really caught on in Europe. It did, however, star a certain George Clooney in an early role. The parody marks the directorial debut of porn blogger Gram Ponante who has been sharing his idiosyncratic views on the US adult industry with readers since 2002 (sometimes under the tutelage of Hustler). According to Ponante, it was time for him to slip into the psyche of a porn director and produce his first feature. The result is a funny costume comedy with all sorts of shenanigans. And, of course, with lots of sex and a roster of performers that goes beyond the genre's 'usual suspects'.

American TV series have become a particularly popular target for porn spoofs. Unfortunately, most European viewers are not familiar with most of these shows because they never made it across the big pond. If you ignore the fact that this movie is a debut of a famous blogger, there's a lot of good action to be seen in THE FACTS OF LIFE. The production values are flawless and there are no major hiccups to be reported content- or quality-wise. The picture is crystal-clear, the sound is good and the story is populated by all sorts of new faces, tits and asses. The sex scenes are okay but at times a bit overlong (e.g. Raylene's blowjob). I do, however, ask myself if the pink tint that prevails throughout the movie is intentional or a result of my conjunctivitis. I generally prefer clean visuals! Since I've never seen the original series, I can't judge how close this parody sticks to it. Overall, though, I give this movie and its newbie director two thumbs up. I hope there's more to come in the future!
