People rarely get excited about losing their job - unless they're like 'Brother', the lead character in THE OFFICIAL FRIDAY PARODY (a piss-take on the movie starring rap star Ice Cube). 'Brother' only needs a proper blowjob to be happy. Some weed wouldn't hurt either. Oh, and a quickie would be welcome too. If there wasn't trouble in the 'hood, 'Brother's' life would be perfect. In 1995, the world of Rap music was still okay. Gangsta rappers like Ice-T and Ice Cube (we'll forget about a certain Vanilla Ice for the moment) took to the microphone and, in Ice-T's case, barked their ultra-violent messages about cop-killing ('Body Count' anyone?) out into the world (that was before he switched careers to star in some lame-ass TV cop series). Ice Cube, on the other hand, wrote ludicrously funny scripts like FRIDAY at the height of his career. The movie spawned two sequels that were nowhere near as funny as the original - and, unfortunately, the same can be said about the OFFICIAL FRIDAY PARODY. Not even the title is funny, really. While some of the porn characters do resemble their mainstream counterparts, the movie is just not entertaining enough to keep you glued to the screen (or even to your chair, for that matter). The flick lacks charm, humour and, worst of all, interesting sex scenes. What a shame!
