The individual episodes were already released on the internet; this DVD compiles the entire first season of the series (10 episodes). Spread out over several discs, this neat package includes the epic soundtrack on CD as well as a full-colour booklet.
The story was written by John Stagliano and his assistant, Lea Lexis. It's a complex vampire B-movie about a family of bloodsuckers who need to breed constantly. Dracu (Omar Galanti) is the patriarch who uses any means necessary to protect the clan and restore order among the family members. He certainly doesn't shy away from bloody violence or nasty sex to reach his goals. His loyal minion, Vlad (porn legend Rocco Siffredi), lends him a helping hand (or cock) whenever necessary. But how loyal is Vlad really? The twilight world of VORACIOUS is peopled with unstable characters, such as Father Zoltan (legendary long sword Steve Holmes) and Manu Batiste (Manuel Ferrara). But the most important plot elements revolve around the missing Amira (Brooklyn Lee).
VORACIOUS is a dark and moody porn flick with bizarre elements and a great cast. The sex runs the gamut from passionate/experimental performances to fetish-fixated acts that include clothes pins and light spanking. Other depravities include frequent deep-throating, spitting, rough anal sex (director John 'Buttman' Stagliano's specialty), group sex and gushy facials. Shot in the San Fernando Valley (USA), in Berlin (Insomnia S&M club) and in Budapest (Roccoland). Voracious, lusty and insatiable!

The filmmakers behind this movie might be 'old men' now, but they are far from retired! While younger viewers might not remember the names of Rocco Siffredi, Manuel Ferrara, Omar Galanti, Belladonna, Bobbi Starr or Joey Silvera (or write them off as have-beens), these genre vets (directors/performers) are still running one of the best labels on the planet: Evil Angel. And towering above all of them is John 'Butman' Stagliano (who is ably assisted by his wife, Tricia Deveraux).
Stagliano (THE FASHIONISTAS) dons the director's hat one more time for this movie (which was originally released over the internet and is now available as a complete 'series' on DVD). 'Buttman' (who gets his name from his earlier fixation on anal sex) uses a lot of the same elements as in FASHIONISTAS, i.e. hardcore porn coupled with some fetish sex and tons of anal fucking. But he also knows how to make it more passionate, more sinful than other directors. His scenes often alternate between humiliation and empowerment.
VORACIOUS uses distant, dark visuals with occasional flashes of harsh light. Stagliano uses a lot of back-lit images in his trademark experimental style, mixing black&white and colour freely. VORACIOUS also sports an unsettling soundtrack which is also included on a CD (and deserves the extra treatment as it's really brilliant).
VORACIOUS is a masterstroke. It creates its own aesthetic of the perverse, if you will. No question, VORACIOUS will be remembered as one of the best and most influential porn movies of 2012. Porn pope John Stagliano has created another masterpiece!

For once I agree with my colleague: these old-timers are still rockin' hard! A rather rare occurrence in film history, if you ask me (just watch 'The Expendables' to see what I mean). This series really packs quite a punch and proves that even scary screen moments can be sexually stimulating. The soundtrack does its best to give you goose-pimples throughout the movie. Naturally, the sex scenes (which are staged in a rather showy fashion) are the main attraction here. People who are critical about rough pornography should be reminded that there are plenty of viewers out there who enjoy such a thing. If you ask me, this movie merely allows them to live out their fantasies on the screen - without harming anyone in real life. VORACIOUS features sexual fetishes and fantasies that many people only dream about. And then some.
