After BATMAN XXX - A PORN PARODY, Axel Braun once again scores top marks with his latest spoof, SPIDER-MAN XXX - A PORN PARODY. Axel Braun and superheroes - an unbeatable combination! The line-up is excellent, with Sarah Shevon being a personal fave. The sex scenes are also very interesting, the highlight being anal sex in latex clothing. Braun's a cunning cat! A highly recommended spoof that delivers great quality and content.

Just like Axel Braun's other movies this one demands to be regarded with one eye on the content (story) and another on the formal execution (sex). In terms of story, the movie is a sensational achievement. The characters of the original are lovingly parodied, which results in some truly unforgettable moments (like the 'uncut' version of the famous kissing scene, which is my personal highlight in this movie). Now I finally understand why Peter Parker is always so prude in relating to Mary Jane. The only annoying thing about this movie is the cliffhanger ending: as with the Batman series of parodies, they are essentially forcing you to buy the subsequent DVDs in the series. The Making Of included on the DVD is recommended viewing as it sheds some light on the above-mentioned kissing scene (shooting lasted for a good 30 minutes with the actor dangling upside down - quite an achievement!). It's a shame, then, that the male performers can't really cut it in this movie; it seems to a sign of the times that none of them can climax without 'giving themselves a hand'. Sometimes even a cut-away is required to make the cumshot scenes work. Despite the presence of some truly beautiful and sensitive starlets, the men in this movie are unable to live up to the high standards of male porn performers of the 80s.
