8TH STREET LATINAS focuses on street pickups, i.e. girls get picked up in the street and talked into quick'n'dirty sex. As it happens, all of the chicks are clearly professional performers - which makes me wonder why the camera work is so goddamn awful. I mean, they could have at least put up a light or two for the interiors to make the action a bit more 'visible'. The way it is, though, the movie wastes four hours of porn footage. Less is more in general, and it's particularly true here. I'd rather if the filmmakers shot two hours of well-lit footage rather than four hours of rubbish. Apart from the technical inadequacies, the movie also suffers from lacklustre performances. A poor show all round.
