Controversial porn auteur Rob Black hides behind the Sinister X alias. Some years ago, his company Extreme Associates was the subject of a court case in the United States. Porn parody BIRDS OF PREY XXX comes packaged in a neat little metal box that contains three DVDs with over 10 hours of footage. Rob Black's ambitious porn makeover of the comic book series sports excellent picture quality and a somewhat convoluted plot that fails to re-tell the series' many intricate story lines (there's no way Black could have pulled this off anyway). The line-up, however, is first-class - even though none of the ladies in this movie are particular faves of mine. While this is clearly a matter of taste, the lack of interesting or even intense sex scenes isn't. In the end, Rob Black's spoof is an ambitious adult movie that delivers great picture quality and comes in a fancy package (for porn standards anyway). But neither the sex nor the story are much to write home about.
