About Underworld
During an armed robbery in the street, Tanya (Jessica Drake) gets hit by a bullet and ends up in a coma at the hospital. While the doctors are trying to save her life, she experiences a number of vivid nightmares that involve mystical creatures in the 'Underworld' of her psyche. Despite a strong resemblance to a Michael Ninn production in some scenes, this movie is really a porn spoof of the fantasy hit 'Underworld'. Multi award-winning director Brad Armstrong stands in for Ninn, with Wicked Pictures once more footing the bill for his big-budget porn romp. Luckily, the money is well-spent - mainly on imaginative and colourful visuals as well as on a healthy number of hardcore sex scenes that run the gamut from tender girl/girl love to merciless anal fucking. Jessica Drake stars in the lead role, showing off her impressive acting skill while at the same time alienating audiences with her disproportionate boobs (it looks like she went up yet another size - was it really necessary?). Although UNDERWORLD sports exquisite production values and lots of potentially brilliant ideas, the movie ultimately does not work as well as Armstrong's parody masterpieces THE ROCKI WHORE PICTURE SHOW and MIB MEN IN BLACK - A HARDCORE PARODY.
